All access to the QCAD forum has ceased

When Discourse became active, all users had to log in again (‘Forgot password’).

Logging in or out, password reset or creating a new account has never been an option for older browsers.
Renewed access was only possible by a new login password provided to me by Andrew.

137 days later.
Since early Juli 2, 2026 all access to the QCAD forum has ceased for older browsers.
(The dumbcourse plugin for Discourse was discontinued on May 21, 2026 by its author)

Read-only access to the forum has also ceased because I am still logged in as a dumbcourse user.
With dumbcourse being disabled I am unable to log out.

However, I can still have read-only access in stealth mode.
Only to discover that the general announcement for older browsers was updated.

You can probably wipe all your cookies for the same result.
Although that is not a valid option for me.

The work around by replying to notification emails is most probably very dis-functional.
Since Discourse (February 17, 2026) I received only a few notifications by mail.

I understand your frustration.

However, I did test reply by email and it seems to work okay here. In fact, this very message was composed by email. I think you have to make sure that your text is not a quote of an original message. It’s essentially like a good old 80’s/90’s mailing list. Attachments also work…

More email addresses will be added to start topics once I have some more experience with this.

In any case: there’s absolutely no obligation for anyone to post to the forum. In fact it’s a relatively small crowd of the huge QCAD user base that ever posts to the forum, so feel free to “sign off”, no hard feelings and thank you for all your valuable contributions over the years.
