[SOLVED] "Ortho" Lock Function

Hello, I’m a new user who is just getting used t the software. I have bought the professional version, running on Windows 64 bit.

I used Autocad in the past, and used the F8 “Ortho” function a lot. This locks the cursor to horizontal or vertical movement from the current position. Selecting vertical or horizontal is not necessary, you just move the cursor up-down or side-side from the current point to generate a vertical or horizontal line.

Is there a similar function in QCAD? I can see there’s a horizontal or vertical line option, but these need pre-selecting, and isn’t what I’m after.

You can use snap restrictions:

Or press and hold the Alt-key while drawing the line.
