Restrict Orthogonal

Hello:

I am new to QCAD having switched from draftsight. Is there any way to make Restrict Orthogonal stay active until turned off manually. I tried Lock snap but that didn’t work. It turns of by it’s self after 1 or 2 commands. In draftsight orthogonal will not change state until switched manually by the user. OS: Win 10 QCAD ver: 3.27.1

Try keyboard shortcut EO
Try this, LI to start line command then after you pick start point type EO, the lines are now drawn orthogonaly

Hint if you also hit spacebar you can type in the length

[SOLVED] "Ortho" Lock Function

Hello, I’m a new user who is just getting used t the software. I have bought the professional version, running on Windows 64 bit. I used Autocad in the past, and used the F8 “Ortho” function a lot. This locks the cursor to horizontal or vertical movement from the current position. Selecting vertical or horizontal is not necessary, you just move the cursor up-down or side-side from the current point to generate a vertical or horizontal line. Is there a similar function in QCAD?
