It was possible to select a file but it couldn’t be opened (I tried opening several different files). The message “Import error: Cannot open file!” would appear. I restarted the computer. After the restart, everything works normally now! I will report if it happens again.
When a new app is installed, it might not immediately have access to user files until its executable has been scanned by Microsoft Defender / SmartScreen or third party AV like Norton, Avast, etc. This could very likely have caused that problem.
