Manage Viewport Layers not persisting save and reopen

QCAD Version: 3.32.9
Downloaded package (file name): qcad-3.32.9-pro-win64-qt6-installer.msi
Operating System: Windows 11 Home

Adlington extension buildregs v010.euf2.dxf (598.7 KB)

I have attached my drawing file (DXF/DWG)

I proceed like this: I have a viewport where I’ve hidden three layers (the layers have sublayers). The hiding of the layers works while I have QCAD open.

Frozen Layers (3):
  - 00 - Foundations
  - 03 - Roof
  - 02 - Upstairs

This is what I expect to happen: I press save, close QCAD, reopen QCAD, reopen the file, and the hidden viewport layers remain hidden.

This is what happens instead: No layers are hidden in the viewport on reopening, and the eye symbols in the “Manage Viewport Layers” window are all black. If I look at the dxf file, the viewport looks to have hidden layers in the document structure, so I think it’s the opening rather than the saving that’s going wrong for me.

Thanks. Bug report at:

This affects the frozen layer state of frozen layers that are empty (i.e. there is no entity on that layer self). This has been fixed for the next release.

Hi,

I just ran across this bug on a large project I am working on. Any idea when a fix will be released? THANKS!!
