license question

After QCAD purchases the license, it can only be used on one computer, or can it be used on different computers? Does the license have a life cycle?

Please refer to: QCAD - License

QCAD CE is open source and free to use.
QCAD trial is free to tryout.

A QCAD Pro licence is personal, on whatever machine you are using yourself.
A QCAD Pro licence does not expire, the access to the personal download area does.

Multiple Platforms

Single user licenses are valid for a single user on all supported platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux). You can download all installers for all supported platforms from the download link received after purchase or find them on the DVD or USB drive.

Multiple Installations

Multiple installations on multiple computers and operation systems are possible with a single user license as long as there is only one user per license.

Perpetual License

All licenses are perpetual. This means that licenses are not time limited: buy once, use for as long as your hardware and operating system support it. There are no monthly or yearly fees.

Updates

Updates are included for one year. After that, access to updates can be extended at a 30% discount. If you have previously purchased from us, you will receive an update discount code less than a year after your purchase.

Thank you very much for your answer. I now have two QCAD versions, one is 3.26.0 and the other is 3.28.2. I found that 3.26.0 does not have the dwgexplode.bat script. What should I do to make 3.26.0 support dwgexplode.bat?

By all means update to the 3.28.2 version.
Not only for dwgexplode (since 3.26.3) but for all fixed issues and additions in the latest version.

HI CVH Can you provide the download address of 3.26.3?

We are already using 3.26.0 stably. We only need to support dwgexplode and do not need to make major changes.

No I can not, as licensed user I don’t share my personal pro versions.
For the record: You don’t need the dwgexplode.bat file, you need the core script that is called by it.
As most PRO features this is provided in compiled form in QCAD PRO since the 3.26.3 release.

The so said ‘major changes’ are mostly bug fixes and additions or enhancements.
Refer to the Changelog: QCAD - Changelog

3.28.2 is released as stable and not many bugs are reported since it was released.
What would run under 3.26.0 would run just the same under 3.28.2 …
Nothing ‘major’ to it apart from new functionality.
Simply install the newer version over the existent or remove the old version and install the newer one.
Normally your settings and customization’s are preserved in QCAD.ini/config, I think that you will hardly notice the change.
Custom scripts are preserved as well.
