Cut/Copy and Paste not working in Qcad

When I perform the cut or copy command in a drawing, I was able to paste and place the copied text anywhere on the drawing.
I now do not have this option. The copied text is now located in the Clipboard.

How do I rectify this and return to the copy/paste options where I was able to copy and place the copy/cut object or text in the drawing as previously performed

Nothing has changed with copy/paste or cut/paste in QCAD in recent versions.

A common mistake is that the scale factor is very small or zero when pasting. Please make sure you set the scale factor to 1 in the options toolbar at the top while pasting.
