Bug Report: QCAD 27.0.0 Pro (Linux Qt6) crashes when opening Layout1 after changing Viewport configuration

QCAD Version: 27.0.0
Operating System: Mxlinux

Hi Andrew,

I would like to report a severe crash I encountered in QCAD 27.0.0 Pro on Linux (Qt6 x86_64, MX Linux) related to Viewport management and Layout blocks.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to Edit > Drawing Preferences > Layout > Viewports.
  2. Change the view configuration to Two:Vertical and click OK.
  3. Open the Block list panel.
  4. Double-click (left mouse button) on Layout1 to switch to it/edit it.

Result:
The application crashes instantly.

Additional notes on behavior:

  • This crash happens specifically if the Viewport configuration was changed before attempting to open/edit the Layout block.
  • If Use RHI Graphicsview is turned ON, changing the viewport layout to Two:Vertical also causes immediate UI artifacts and a crash.
  • If Use RHI Graphicsview is turned OFF, the viewport change itself works, but the crash triggers later — exactly at the moment you double-click Layout1 in the Block list.

Thanks.
