Alt key with line goes ortho but when I click the line doesn't stay put

When I press Alt drawing lines it goes orthographic like it should but when I click to end the line the line doesn’t terminate, It worked for me using Ubuntu, but I installed Mint and then the problem surfaced QCad Pro 3.32

In some Linux environments, the Alt-Key is used to move or resize Windows. When you click while holding Alt, your Linux desktop intercepts that click to see if you’re trying to move the window, preventing QCAD from ever receiving the mouse click.

The Fix for Linux Mint (Cinnamon)

  1. Open your System Settings.
  2. Go to Windows (under the Preferences section).
  3. Click on the Behavior tab.
  4. Look for the section labeled Window Selection or Moving and Resizing Windows.
  5. Change the “Special key to move and resize windows” from Alt to Super (the Windows/Command key) or set it to Disabled.
