A3 Drawing Print as A3 Pdf

Hi guys!

In the last few days I have drawn a submission plan for a house construction in QCAD.
The size of the plan (outer frame) is A3.

Now I want to print this plan as A3 PDF.
But I always get only A4 PDF files.
Even if I select A3 as format in the printer context and then click on “Save as PDF”, the result is an A3 sheet. (On which also only an A4 sized section of my drawing can be found.

Configuration: QCAD Pro on Mac OSX Big Sur.

Can someone help me to get an A3 PDF of my A3 drawing?

Many thanks already,

Günni

Hi,

I think we need to sort that a little bit. Basically you are saying it is ALWAYS A4 but the RESULT is A3 … That makes no sense!

QCAD will not change the sheet size from A3 to A4 or the other way around. It sounds to me that the print scale doesn’t lines up with your goal to print on A3. Is the print scale chosen to fit your whole drawing on a A3 sheet?

More information regarding printing to paper or pdf:

Good morning!

I’m sorry, I must have mixed up the numbers, in my previous post.
Despite A3 drawing always came an A4 PDF file.

Thanks for the help and the link.
With this I could solve the problem

In the “Drawing Preferences” the “page size” was set to A4.
After I changed the value to A3, the A3 print worked perfectly.

Thanks for the help!

In your printer driver dialog you must set the scale to 100%.
In this case the drawing will be exported to paper size.
