Hi I can not save any Text in a drawing! not even in a new one. Allways the exception occured if you save it…

What is the exact text you are trying to create (contents, fonts, size, etc.)?

Do you use a drawing as default template when starting a new drawing?
Edit > Application Preferences > File > Templates > Default Template

Unfortunately, this is not reproducible here. Can you save your file as follows and attach it to your post:

  • File > New
  • Add text
  • File > Save As…
  • Change “Format” at the bottom to “R15 [2000/LT2000] DXF Drawing [dxflib] (*.dxf)”

Schwarze Objekte und Layer werden als weiss gespeichert.
Benutzerdefinierte Farben werden auf die nächste verfügbare Farbe ‘gerundet’.

if I open the test.dxf no text is in it
if I open the test2.dxf text is in it!!!

Format library ? Teigha problem?
with format dxflib it works..

Thanks. I can reproduce the problem now. Please change the line spacing in the text dialog to a value of 4 or under. The DXF standard only allows values up to 4 and Teigha enforces this rule in the latest version which is unfortunate. I will look into ways to allow QCAD to work around that unnecessary limitation.
