- Select > Select all
- Modify > Align Reference Points
- Click the first end point of the line you want to be vertical. This is the end point that will be at the bottom once the line is vertical.
- Click an easily identifiable grid point (e.g. 100,100).
- Click the other end point of the same line you want to be vertical.
- Make sure that the “Scale”, “Copy” and “Use Current Layer and Attributes” are all disabled in the options tool bar at the top.
- Click a grid point directly above the one clicked in 4 (e.g. 100,200).
