Rotate a drawing to make a line vertical

  1. Select > Select all
  2. Modify > Align Reference Points
  3. Click the first end point of the line you want to be vertical. This is the end point that will be at the bottom once the line is vertical.
  4. Click an easily identifiable grid point (e.g. 100,100).
  5. Click the other end point of the same line you want to be vertical.
  6. Make sure that the “Scale”, “Copy” and “Use Current Layer and Attributes” are all disabled in the options tool bar at the top.
  7. Click a grid point directly above the one clicked in 4 (e.g. 100,200).
