I am a retired old man, but, as I feel, mentally active.
I am using QCAD for many years in successing versions under MS Windows.
Since Microsoft will end security support of Windows 10 this year I decided to change over to linux.
Under advice of my son we chose OpenSuse Tumbleweed Slowroll.
The newest version of QCAD Professional was downloaded.
A first attempt of installing failed showing this error report:
./qcad-b cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryin: error while loading shared libraries: libgthread-2.0.so.0:
Using the yast tool did not succed. Simple exchange of the hyphen with an underscore solved the problem: yast detected
libgthread\_2.0 and installed it.
Ecce! QCAD was installed and running.
