Hello,
I have just downloaded the free version of qcad for the first time.
Can we use this free version commercially too (i.e. drawing things to give to our client or to put it on a website or book)? Or we must buy the paid version for that?
Still, what are the main differences between the free version and paid version?
Can we use free version indefinitely or it is only 30 days etc…?
Trying to decide what to use nowadays- things I am drawing are simple that’s why I am using opensource - but hoping that they are constantly being improved?
Hi,
I am not going to answer the first question. The fee is that low that it shouldn’t be a commercial issue. ![]()
The free trial is in fact a time limited PRO version.
One can reduce the Trial version to the Community Edition version (CE).
Refer to the website:
Yes, PRO and CE … lifetime without updates.
PRO is constantly inproved, CE benifits from that somewhat lesser.

The free version can be used indefinitely, not limited to 30 days?

I think that is what I replied.
One can personally use QCAD Pro or a copy of QCAD CE for a lifetime.
QCAD trial is limited in run time and the amount of started sessions.
