# Bug Report: QCAD 27.0.0 Pro (Linux Qt6) crashes when opening Layout1 after changing Viewport configuration

QCAD Version: 27.0.0  
Operating System: Mxlinux

Hi Andrew,

I would like to report a severe crash I encountered in QCAD 27.0.0 Pro on Linux (Qt6 x86\_64, MX Linux) related to Viewport management and Layout blocks.

**Steps to reproduce:**

1. Go to **Edit \> Drawing Preferences \> Layout \> Viewports**.
2. Change the view configuration to **Two:Vertical** and click **OK**.
3. Open the **Block list** panel.
4. Double-click (left mouse button) on **Layout1** to switch to it/edit it.

**Result:**  
The application crashes instantly.

**Additional notes on behavior:**

- This crash happens specifically if the Viewport configuration was changed _before_ attempting to open/edit the Layout block.
- If `Use RHI Graphicsview` is turned **ON** , changing the viewport layout to _Two:Vertical_ also causes immediate UI artifacts and a crash.
- If `Use RHI Graphicsview` is turned **OFF** , the viewport change itself works, but the crash triggers later — exactly at the moment you double-click **Layout1** in the Block list.

This should be fixed in update 27.0.2 (now available). Please let us know if the problem persists.
